{"id":54887,"date":"2026-07-07T21:46:26","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T02:46:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/redinfor.com.pe\/portal\/?p=54887"},"modified":"2026-07-07T21:46:28","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T02:46:28","slug":"job-call-cluster-director-south-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/redinfor.com.pe\/portal\/2026\/07\/07\/job-call-cluster-director-south-america\/","title":{"rendered":"JOB CALL CLUSTER DIRECTOR SOUTH AMERICA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>JOB CALL CLUSTER DIRECTOR SOUTH AMERICA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Relevant University degree in development, social science, business administration or related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven experience of exercising leadership functions with increasing responsibility in an international environment related to development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven understanding of \u201cchild rights\u201d and \u201cgender in development\u201d concepts and the promotion of girls\u2019 rights in the context of relevant International Conventions (Convention of the Rights of the Child, Convention for the Eradication of Discrimination against Women) and the Global Goals (SDGs).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of International Humanitarian Law, Humanitarian Coordination and Humanitarian Donors as well as a comprehension of the main stakeholders involved in Humanitarian aid.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience and understanding of the concepts of sustainable community development and participatory approaches and practice in development interventions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven skills in the development and management of effective and motivated teams, including distance management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven networking and negotiation skills with governmental and non-governmental actors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong diplomatic and communication skills, including through mass-media in order to influence decision-makers and key stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrable knowledge as a result of study, training or practical experience on the key debates in the humanitarian sector, especially as related to working in conflict and protracted crises, and emergency response methods and effectiveness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of the requirements of donor compliance and financial management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of key debates in the humanitarian sphere, including on the nexus and triple nexus debate, and about the practical implications of the key debates at field level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of programming in complex and constantly changing environments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Desirable<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Knowledge of programming in challenging environments with good understanding and appreciation of the historical, security context, political environment, economic, social\/religious and humanitarian context in the Region of Americas or a comparable environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge ofthe geopolitical factors affecting child-poverty in the countries of the cluster and the political, social and environmental opportunities for change is an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Business Management Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understanding Plan International in context: Understanding the organisation, how it operates, its priorities and changing context.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing People and Relationships: Working with others, managing people and promoting equity, diversity and inclusion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Risk Management: Managing and mitigating business, legal, safety, security, reputational and project risks in line with<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing Change: Integrating conscious change management and continuous improvement into work planning, processes and delivery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delivering Results: Planning and managing resources, projects and partnerships for the effective and efficient delivery of result<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru<br><strong>Reports to:\u00a0<\/strong>Regional Director<br><strong>Closing Date: 17th July, 2026<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">References will be taken and background and anti-terrorism will be carried out in conformity with Plan International Child Protection Policy.&nbsp;
